Additional safety and smart features include rebound motors, which automatically stop and reverse if an object is detected in the shutter’s path, helping prevent damage or injury. We also offer bidirectional motors that connect to a mobile app, allowing you to monitor and confirm whether your shutters are open or closed at any time.
How are the roll down shutters installed?
Roll-down shutters are surface-mounted, with the track and hood securely fastened to the opening using the appropriate hardware. To remove the shutter system, the slats must first be rolled up using the remote control—preventing intruders from simply unbolting the system from the surface.
In most municipalities, permanent hurricane shutters require a permit, which your installer can assist with obtaining. Our shutter systems are approved in some of the most stringent jurisdictions, including Miami-Dade County, making the permitting process straightforward in most areas.
